The data has been gleaned from many different sources - Parish Registers, the IGI, the Phillimore Marriage Index, books, wills and other documents and indices. Also information from more than 40 researchers to whom I am indebted for allowing me to include their data and to use their names as source references. The vast majority of events contain a source reference but there are a few which do not - if any researcher can help me fill the gaps I would appreciate it.

I am particularly grateful for the guidance I have received from the work carried out by the St Just Research Group of the Cornish Association of Victoria, Australia. Some information has been obtained from, and is the copyright of Burke's Peerage, Baronetage and Knightage - 106th edition, Morris Genealogical books SA, 7 rue de Bugnon, 1299 Crans, Switzerland - email:

There are ERRORS, not too many of them I hope. Certainly there may be confusion between dates of births and christenings, and deaths and burials. If you find errors please let me know. As with all data of this nature it should only be used as a guide for further research into primary sources and no guarantee can be given or implied as to the accuracy of any information on the site or the data included.

Every effort has been made not to include people who may still be alive. I hope I have erred on the safe side by not including anyone born after 1900 unless I have details of their death or burial. If any have slipped through the net I apologise and again, please let me know.

The online database has been generated by GedHtree, a programme written by Gary Welker. My own records, which are stored in ROOTSMAGIC v. were transferred to GedHtree using GEDCOM 5.5.
